Gustavo Santaolalla, born August 19, 1951 (1951-08-19) (age 72) in El Palomar, Morón, Buenos Aires, Argentina, is a composer. He devised the original theme music for Hell on Wheels. He has also worked on the films Amores Perros (2000), Brokeback Mountain (2005), Babel (2006), and Into the Wild (2007). He has won two Academy Awards for Best Original Score in two consecutive years, for Brokeback Mountain in 2005 and Babel in 2006.
